WHAT'S ON?

MUSIC

Open Mic / Gypsy Jazz / Acoustic Night

Keep an eye on the Panteg House Employees Club Facebook page for updates on these events as government Covid-19 restrictions begin to lift!

Torfaen Male Voice Choir

We are a recently formed male choir consisting of two formerly well-established choirs, Pontypool Male choir and Cwmbran Male Choir. We meet every Monday and Thursday evening between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

Our music varies between modernistic and traditional Welsh and English songs. We always extend a warm welcome to new members, so come along and sing along with the boys and enjoy being part of an amazing choir and give a bit back to the less fortunate.

In light of the Covid-19 outbreak and government guidelines, Torfaen Male Choir has suspended all practices and any forthcoming concerts and events until further notice. But WE WILL BE BACK! For more information contact our Chairman on 01633 546706 / 07775 616469.

COMMUNITY GROUPS

The Hinterlands Project

Hinterlands Wales explores the Monmouth and Brecon canal in Torfaen as a space for creativity, ecology and wellbeing. Delivered by Peak with artists & communities as part of a national Canal & River Trust programme. Supported by Arts Council of Wales.

Hope GB

Hope GB is a registered charity based in Torfaen, South Wales, offering support services to people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASCs), and their families. We’ve built up a range of services to help families and carers to lead informed, productive lives which will impact the people with autism that they’re connected to.

In addition, our regular high-quality training, development and awareness-raising events attract representatives from specialist schools, health, educational and social care professions, and our family links. We believe that every child, young person and adult on the spectrum has the potential to move forward.  As a result, we’re committed to working with our partners and advocates to improve the outcomes of those we support.

Ballyhoo

Ballyhoo Stage Arts is a fun and friendly performing arts academy based in Torfaen and Newport. It's set up and run by Principals Amy and Beth. Amy has 10 years of teaching experience as well as a wealth of performing experience. Beth is a qualified teacher with 7 years of teaching experience as well as experience working on set on various television series.

Japanese Community Culture Group

Mamika volunteers with us on activity days and is a member of Phoenix Arts Festival Committee, and has established links with the Japanese Embassy in London. She also has made a number of educational visits to local schools, providing children with the opportunity to experience and learn about Japanese culture.

During our first Phoenix Arts Festival in 2019, Mamika engaged children and attendees in the art of origami, writing their names in Japanese script, and demonstrating items of her culture such as kimonos and other items kindly provided by the embassy!
